KUALA LUMPUR: The newly launched International Women’s Day 2025 stamp underscores the Women, Family, and Community Development Ministry’s commitment to empowering women in the country.

Its minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri said that this first-ever commemorative stamp, issued in collaboration with Pos Malaysia Berhad, emphasises the importance of women’s roles in society.

“It should also remind us to ensure that their voices are heard.

“For the ministry, we are empowering women to ensure the country has more female leaders in various sectors including economy and politics,” she said when met at the World Trade Centre here on Saturday (March 8).

Nancy also shared that there will be more upcoming programmes that will be available for women especially the younger generation.

“We want to provide the younger women with more opportunities through programmes that will be announced later,” she added.

Nancy added that the stamp was issued in conjunction with the celebration of International Women’s Day 2025, which is celebrated annually on March 8.

The stamp also comes with a special postage stamp set with the theme International Women’s Day 2025.

The products included in this stamp release are two stamp designs known as “se-tenant” stamps, where two different stamp designs are joined together on a single stamp sheet, priced at RM1.30 each.

The pack also includes a first-day cover with a special postmark featuring the International Women’s Day 2025 logo, postcard, and a folder.

The complete folder set costs RM38.10 and can be purchased at selected post offices nationwide or online via the Pos Malaysia website at www.pos.com.my/shop.
