BUTTERWORTH: The unity government will strive to solve water woes in states, including states governed by the opposition, despite differences in political beliefs, to ease the people’s burden.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said he had held discussions with various parties, including Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob, in efforts to solve water woes, including in states under the opposition.
“This is not about political alliances. This is about the people. We do it to assist the people,” he said when opening the Penang Madani Entrepreneurial Group Economic Fund at the Seberang Perai Arena in Seberang Jaya here on Saturday (June 29).
Also present were Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick, Deputy Minister Datuk R. Ramanan and National Entrepreneurial Group Economic Fund chairman Datuk Abdullah Sani Abdul Hamid.
Speaking of the National Entrepreneurial Group Economic Fund, the Prime Minister said the agency aims to provide simple and quick financing facilities to help entrepreneurs kick-start and expand their businesses.
He said that it continues to show progress through good governance, and the allocation for the agency under the Entrepreneurial and Cooperative Development Ministry would be increased in the 2025 Budget. – Bernama
