PARIS: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim took the opportunity to meet with members of the Muslim community in France, led by the Rector of the Grand Mosque of Paris, Chems-eddine Mohamed Hafiz.

The session was held in conjunction with the Prime Minister’s two-day official visit to France, which began on Thursday (July 3).

Anwar said the meeting provided an opportunity to strengthen cooperation between Malaysia and Islamic institutions in France, particularly in the areas of education, the halal industry, interfaith dialogue, and the promotion of universal values such as peace, tolerance, and justice.

“As a gesture of brotherhood, I presented a special edition of the Quran, along with 10 additional copies in French translation,” he said on Friday (July 4).

“After the meeting, my delegation and I also performed Friday prayers with the Muslim community here,” he said in a statement.- Bernama
