JOHOR BARU: The Police have solved a factory break-in case within hours with the arrest of two men here on Sunday (June 29).

Police seized an array of items from the suspect, including a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), computer-related items and air conditioning units.

Seri Alam OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Sohaimi Ishak said the factory’s management lodged a report claiming that their premises in Taman Desa Cemerlang industrial estate were broken into at about 2am on Sunday.

“Based on information received, our officers from the criminal investigation department managed to track down the suspects believed to be involved in the incident and nabbed them,” he said in a statement on Monday (June 30).

He added that one of the suspects had a criminal record with eight offences related to crime and drugs.

“Urine tests confirmed both suspects, aged 24 and 28, were positive for methamphetamine.

“They have been remanded for five days starting Sunday until Thursday (July 4) to assist with the investigation,” he added.

ACP Mohd Sohaimi said the case was being investigated under Section 457 and Section 379A of the penal code.
