TRIPOLI, June 11 (Xinhua) — The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) said on Tuesday it had installed a vaccination administration system at 624 sites in Libya.

UNICEF said in a statement that it installed the Tahseen Platform in partnership with Libya’s National Center for Disease Control.

“The Tahseen Platform includes a user-friendly interface for tracking vaccinated children and managing vaccine stock in real-time, facilitating seamless registration and documentation of vaccine status. It also integrates vaccination centers with the National Vaccination Program Department and provides detailed reports for monitoring and analysis,” the statement noted.

Additionally, UNICEF has installed the Remote Temperature Monitoring System at 94 municipality vaccine stock stores to ensure vaccines are stored at best conditions, the statement added.

Due to years of political instability and insecurity, Libyan authorities have been struggling to provide basic services and build infrastructure projects for its citizens.
