Ahead of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding, Nita and Mukesh Ambani hosted a mass wedding for those over 50 underprivileged couples on Tuesday. Here’s the scoop on this heartwarming event.

The mass wedding took place at the Reliance Corporate Park in Thane, where more than 800 people were present representing the couples’ families. Nita and Mukesh Ambanialong with Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta, as well as Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal, graced the event with their presence.

In one video, ANI captioned, “Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani present at the mass wedding of the underprivileged being organized as part of the wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant.”

Each couple was gifted with gold ornaments, including mangalsutras, wedding rings, and nose rings, along with silver ornaments like toe rings and anklets. Additionally, each bride received a check of Rs 1,00,001 lakh as her ‘streedhan.’

The couples were also provided with groceries and household items for a year, which included 36 essential items, utensils, appliances like a gas stove, mixer, and fan, as well as a mattress and pillows.

Another video by Press Trust of India (PTI) on X had the caption, “Couples take blessings from Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani during a mass wedding organized as part of pre-wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Mumbai.”

According to reports, a grand dinner was organized, and guests enjoyed witnessing the traditional Tarpa dance performed by the Warli Tribeadding a culturally rich experience to the evening.

The Ambani family upholds a tradition of starting every significant family occasion by supporting and serving others, thus reaffirming their dedication to the community, reported Her Zindagi.

The Ambanis had arranged two lavish pre-wedding celebrations for Anant and Radhika in Jamnagar, Gujarat, and on a cruise ship from Italy to France. The event attracted numerous Indian and international celebrities and business tycoons.

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding will take place on July 12 and is spread across three days, including three events — ‘Shubh Vivaah’ followed by ‘Shubh Aashirwad’ on July 13, and ‘Mangal Utsav’ or the wedding reception on July 14.
