PETALING JAYA: The level of water supply recovery has reached 27.1% in all areas affected by the latest water cut, with those under Group 1 having fully recovered, says Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor).
Meanwhile, the level of water supply recovery for areas under Group 2 had reached 10.2%, while areas under Group 3 were still at 0% as of 12pm on Thursday (June 6).
According to previous announcements, Air Selangor said the expected full recovery times for the remaining groups would continue as scheduled, with Group 2’s expected full recovery time at 3am on Friday (June 7) and Group 3’s at 12pm on the same day.
The list of areas in each group that have not yet recovered and their expected full recovery times can be found at https://www.airselangor.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Lampiran-A-1.pdf.
In addition to the current deployment of water tankers, Air Selangor also noted that alternative water supply assistance would be provided at 13 local service centres listed at https://www.airselangor.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Lampiran-B-2.pdf.
It also advised residents in newly recovered areas to refrain from excessive water usage while the total recovery process was still ongoing.
“Air Selangor would like to advise consumers who have and will receive their water supply to let the tap flow until it is clear before using,” it said.
“Air Selangor hopes that consumers who have received water supply will use water prudently to ensure that the recovery process in the affected areas runs smoothly,” it said in a press release on Thursday (June 6).
