The Tajikistan National Security Committee arrested them on Monday from the city of Vakhdat. The news was reported by Reuters.
It has been suggested by a Tajik security source that those arrested may have links with the militant group responsible for the attack.
Behind the deadly attack in Russia were 4 Tajik citizens suspected to be gunmen. Along with 7 other suspects, they have also been arrested. Among the 7 suspects, there are also several Tajikistan nationals.
Sources indicate that the Tajikistan National Security Committee arrested 9 people from Vakhdat on Monday. They are currently in custody in the capital Dushanbe.
At least 143 people were killed in the attack on the concert in Russia. The Islamic State (IS) claimed responsibility for the attack, releasing footage of the attack. US officials say their intelligence suggests the attack was carried out by the Islamic State’s Afghan branch, the Islamic State Khorasan (ISIS-K).
